The Renaissance Woman and the Closer

As The Renegade Coder takes form, I have to thank a couple people: the renaissance woman and the closer.

Introducing the Team

As you can probably imagine, I’m not the most artistic person. I don’t mean to perpetuate any sort of stereotypes, I’ve just never put any time into it.

Instead, I dedicate my free time to the site and other hobbies like playing video games, practicing trombone, and feeding my cat. Of course, this impacts the overall user experience of The Renegade Coder.

Fortunately, the website doesn’t look like a potato! That’s because I have a couple of people helping me out: the renaissance woman, Morgan Popowski, and the closer, Pamela Austin.

The Renaissance Woman

I have to give a huge shout out to Morgan because she’s been supporting me quite a bit over the last few months. Whether its been moral support, blog editing, or photo taking, she’s done it all. She probably doesn’t realize how big of a help she’s been, but her support has kept me positive throughout.

The Closer

Like a 9th inning pitcher, Pamela has come in clutch for the site. While I’ve never met her in person, I already she know does some great design work. In fact, she designed most of the branding assets for The Renegade Coder. You can check out some of her work below:

I’m probably most excited about the cover page. I’ve already started adding it to many of the problem sets on the Java Tutorials GitHub. I would pass everyone a link, but I haven’t merged the changes into the develop branch yet (so the link will probably break soon!). Everything should be ready by Tuesday for the weekly update.
